Bill started his career at Peoria Woodruff, where he wrestled 3 years for Hall of Famer Charles Gross. He was also involved in cross country and track.
At Illinois State, he wrestled for Hall of Famer Dr. Eugene Hill. He received his MA from Illinois Wesleyan and a second MA from Governor's State. He taught Biology and Chemistry at Delon-Weldon-Flanigan for 3 years; 27 years at Joliet Twp. and 4 years at Peotone. He has been officiating for 40 years, including college. He has worked 40 Regionals; 35 Sectionals; 9 Individual State Tournaments and I Team State.
