SOUTHWEST PRAIRIE CONFERENCE
Yorkville and Minooka tangled for this year’s Southwest Prairie Conference title, with Yorkville winning the crown 220.5-209.
The Foxes got individual titles from Landon Jenkins (120), Donovan Rosauer (150) and Caleb Viscogliosi (175) to lead a pack of 12 wrestlers finishing in the top four of their weight classes.
Yorkville coach Jake Oster also got second-place finishes from Nathan Craft (132), Nolan Chrisse (138), Donncha Souza (157 and Xavion Ulloa (285), thirds from Vincent Konecki (144) and Maximus Delgado (165), and fourths from Leo Richmond (106), Brook Janeczko (190) and Avery Lane (215).
The 12-team field saw Joliet West place third with 196.5 points, followed by Plainfield South (109), Plainfield North (106.5), Oswego (92.5), Plainfield East (70.5), Plainfield Central (70), Bolingbrook (65.5), Oswego East (38.5), Joliet Central (35.5) and Romeoville (35).
Yorkville led the field with 13 pins and was second in both tech falls (7) and total match points (346).
Minooka led all teams with 10 tech falls and 444 total match points.

SOUTHLAND ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
A single point decided the team champion at this year’s Southland Athletic Conference tournament, as Rich Township edged Thornton 168-167.
Thornton earned a 13-12 edge in wrestlers who finished in the top six of their weight classes but Rich Township had four individual champions to Thornton’s two and posted a 14-12 edge in pins for the tournament. Each team had two tech falls in the hard-fought battle.
Rich Township coach Alex Pell got individual titles from Caleeb Jones (120), Kyrin King (126), Carl Jeffries (132) and Tristin King (150) to lead the Raptors to their third consecutive SAC title.
Rich Township also got second-place finishes from Alphonso Clark (138), Orlando Hughes (157), Joshua Johnson (165), Nicholas Parker (190) and Joshua Madison (215), thirds from Dontrell Nieves (106) and David Maldonado (144), and a fifth from Malachi Rowser (285).
Crete-Monee (118.5) finished third at this year’s SAC meet, followed by Kankakee (117.5) and Bloom Township (75).
Crete-Monee tied Rich Township with four individual champions, Kankakee had three, and Bloom had one individual champion.

SOUTHWEST SUBURBAN CONFERENCE
Lockport Township coach Jameson Oster sent eight wrestlers to the title mat and got four individual champions in winning this year’s Tom Lahey SWSC tournament.
Lockport posted 228 points, followed by Lincoln-Way East (199), Lincoln-Way West (198.5), Carl Sandburg (167.5), Lincoln-Way Central (113.5), host Homewood-Flossmoor (110.5), Andrew (65.5), Bradley-Bourbonnais (63) and Stagg (13.5).
The Porters got individual titles from Noe Hernandez (106), Anthony Sutton (120), Evan Curry (150), and Justin Wardlow (157), second-place finishes from Isaac Zimmerman (132), Naseem Jaber (144), Chris Miller (175) and Drew Silzer (190), a third from Ethan Robledo (285), and a fourth from Xavier Briseno (215).
Lockport led the field with eight tech falls, was second with 11 pins, and was first in total match points with 324.
Lincoln-Way West tied Lockport with four individual champions; Lincoln-Way East and Lincoln-Way Central had two champions each; and Sandburg and Homewood-Flossmoor had one champion apiece.

INDIVIDUAL: LW Central’s Aiden Hennings had the most pins in the least time with three in 1:59, followed by LW East’s Zachary Ankario with three falls in 2:52. LW West’s Max Herman posted the most tech falls in the least time with three in 7:36, followed by LW East’s Kaidge Richardson with three in 10:54.
LW Central’s Hennings also had the fastest fall in 12 seconds, with teammate Eric Hoselton next with a fall in 24 seconds.
There was a four-way tie for the most team points scored (28) between Sandburg’s Kyle Hayes, LW Central’s Hennings, LW East’s Colton Zvonar and Homewood-Flossmoor’s Chazz Robinson.
Hermann led the way in single-match points with 22, and in total match points with 63. Richardson was next in total match points with 54, followed by Lockport’s Justin Wardlow with 49.
The largest seed-place difference came from Lockport’s Ethan Robledo, who was seeded No. 6 and placed third at 285 pounds.

ILLINOIS CENTRAL EIGHT CONFERENCE
Top-ranked Coal City dominated the field at this year’s Illinois Central Eight tournament, sending all 14 wrestlers to the title mat and winning 12 individual titles.
Coal City scored 276 points and led the field in pins (20) and total match points (235).
Reed-Custer (112) placed second, followed by Herscher (94), Lisle (82.5), Wilmington (50), Manteno (48.5), Peotone (46) and Streator (20.5).
Wiinning titles for Coalers coach Mark Masters were Jake Munsterman (106), Tyson Price (120), Owen Petersen (126), Cooper Morris (132), Luke Munsterman (138), Max Christensen (144), Brody Widlowski (150), Aidan Kenney (157), Mason Garner (165), Brock Finch (175), Cade Poyner (215) and Payton Vigna (285). Manteno’s Carter Webber posted the most tech falls in the least time with two in 4:17, followed by Herscher’s Alexander Mendez with two techs in 8:33. Manteno’s Webber posted the fastest tech fall in 1:25, followed by Lisle’s Alexander Ferari with a tech in 1:37.
Coal City’s Ryker Long, Gabriel Hamilton, and Reed-Custer’s Braydon Pratscher tied for the tournament lead with 24 team points, followed by Coal City’s Roberto Rodriguez with 23.5.
Manteno’s Brady Anders scored the most single-match points with 25, followed by Wilmington’s Logan VanDuyne with 23. Herscher’s Mendez scored the most total match points with 49, followed by Wilmington’s Oakley Rivera with 46.

SOUTH SUBURBAN CONFERENCE
Oak Forest won its second consecutive SSC team title and its third in the last four years, out-pointing second-place Evergreen Park 225.5-207.
Eleven of coach Shawn Forst’s wrestlers finished in the top four of their weight classes, led by individual champions Roberto Rangel (113), Austin Perez (150) and Jason Janke (175).
The Bengals sent nine wrestlers to the championship mat and got runner-up finishes from Jason Schickel (106), Hunter Kroll (120), Jacob Sebek (126), Dylan McBride (138), Nathan Izguerra (190) and Andrius Vasilevskas (215). Oak Forest also got fourths from Derek Rodriguez (157) and Shane Matthews (285).
Oak Forest led the field with 21 pins in the tournament and posted the most total match points with 299.
Evergreen Park led all teams with five individual champions. Lemont had three champions, while Oak Lawn, Shepard, and Tinley Park had one apiece.

Lemont’s Vincent DelliColli led the field with 55 total match points, followed by Argo’s Gio Romero and Oak Forest’s Jason Janke with 54 apiece. The largest seed-place difference came from Eisenhower’s Lavar Davis, as the No. 10 seed placed third at 285 pounds.
