Clarence “Bud” Weick

Bud placed 3rd in the state and won 2 state championships. At Purdue, he won 1 Big 10 title and placed 2nd. He was Captain his senior year. Coaching at Grant, he had 8 state place winners, with 2 state champions. Coaching at Lake County Junior College, his teams are consistently among the leaders. Bud also placed 3rd, twice in the AAU’s.
Bud served on the Illinois High School Wrestling Advisory board for 8 years, officiated for many years and worked the state finals 4 times. He was one of the original founders of the Mayor Daley foundation program and was one of the founders of the IWCOA. He has been involved in many Wrestling Organizations and activities.
