Jevon Herman

A 1993 graduate of St. Charles High School, Jevon Herman competed for four years for the Saints. He wrestled for IWCOA Hall of Fame coach Mick Ruettiger. He was a three time state place winner, finishing 2nd as a sophomore and junior. He capped off his senior year with an undefeated state title with a record of 37-0. He had a 139-11-1 career record. He was a Junior National runner-up in Greco-Roman. Jevon also played football and was an Upstate 8 All-Conference linebacker.
After high school, Jevon went on to the University of Illinois where he wrestled for another IWCOA Hall of Famer, Mark Johnson. Wrestling for the Illini, he was a four time NCAA qualifier, 2 time Big Ten runner-up and an All-American in 1998. He was also a Midlands finalist and he had a college career record of 110-45.
Jevon coached at Fox Valley Wrestling Club during the 1999-2000 season. He has worked for Republic Service for the past eleven years. He is currently the General Manager in Central Florida.
He enjoys spending time with his wife Mindy and their two sons. His other hobbies include motorcycle riding, camping, fishing, golf and enjoying live music.
