Instrumental in promoting Wrestling in the Quad City area for many years. Coached at Rock Island from 1942 to 1954. Had 32 State Place winners, among them were 11 Individual State Champions. His teams won numerous District and Sectional Titles and won the Team State Championship in 1947. His team also won 2nd in 1954Winner of many Districts and Mr. Greene was also on the State Wrestling Advisory Committee.
