Rollie Platt graduated from Quincy High School in 1964 where he wrestled for three years and was captaining his senior year. He had a career record of 55-12. He also

Played football and ran track.

After graduation from high school, Rollie attended Illinois College in 1964 and then Quincy College in 1965. In 1966 he joined the U.S. Navy. He was Comnavmarinas Regional Wrestling Champion, qualifying him for the Western Pacific Championships in 1967. He was transferred prior to participation in the championships. Upon return from the Navy in 1970, he attended Quincy College and graduated in 1973.

In the fall of’ l973, Rollie began teaching at Quincy High School and started coaching 1974. He has coached football and softball in addition to wrestling since he started teaching. In 1979, Rollie assumed the head wrestling coach position. He has a career coaching record of 412-167-8. He has coached fifty-eight state qualifiers and eight place winners, seven I.H.S.A. Regional Championships, three conference titles, and one sectional championship.

Rollie is presently interim principal at Quincy High School
