Sterling Newman and Orion, IL

As an eighth grader, Scott was an IKWF State Champion at 95 pounds in 1982. While wrestling for Hall of Famer Rich Montgomery, Scott Holbrook was 3rd in1983 and 1985 and was the IHSA State champion 132-pound wrestler in 1986. His overall record for Newman Central Catholic High School was 150-11-1, including a Dual Team Championship in 1985. Scott was a two-time NCAA D-3 National Qualifier.

Scott Holbrook's refereeing accomplishments include 6 IHSA Individual State Tournaments, 4 IHSA Dual Team State Tournaments, 10 Midlands Championships 2 NCAA National Duals, Officiated 12 Div. III National Qualifiers and one Div. I National Qualifier. Scott has been an IHSA Wrestling Clinician since 2013.

Scott coached at Orion Jr. High Wrestling from 2013 – 2015, while there he had 12 state qualifiers and 3 place winners.

Scott has worked as a buyer for KONE Corporation for the past 16 years. Scott enjoys running, biking, and boating in his spare time.
