Scott Trizzino

Scott Trizzino graduated from Joliet Township High School in 1976. He wrestled for the Steelmen under Hall of Fame coach Mac McLaughlin. Scott was a three time state qualifier and won the IHSA State Championship his junior and senior year. He had a record of 67-0-1 his junior and senior year.

Scott went on to the University of Iowa to wrestle for legendary Dan Gable. As a Hawkeye, Scott was a four year letter-winner. He was a two time Big Ten Champion, claiming titles in 1979 at 142 pounds and then again in 1981 at 150 pound. Scott was a three time NCAA Division I All-American. He placed 3rd at 142 pounds in 1978. In 1979 he lost a referees decision in the championship bout at 142 pound to finish second. He placed second again in 1981 at 150 pounds.

Scott is the presently the Head Wrestling Coach at St. Charles North High School.
