Eureka High School

Terry Aldridge is the Head Wrestling Coach at Eureka High School where he has held this position for 23 years since 1989. In addition to his coaching duties he has been a Physical Education, Health, and Alternative Education Teacher since 1988. Aldridge also taught for one year in Washburn, Illinois before coming to Eureka High School.

During his tenure at Eureka, he was Head Football coach for five years and assistant for 14 years. As the Head Football Coach he led the Hornets to two state playoff appearances and their only conference championship in the last 40 years.

As Head Wrestling coach at Eureka, Aldridge has had 30 IHSA state qualifiers and 12 state placers including two runners-up in class A. He has coached six IHSA regional championship teams, two Elite Eight state dual teams (1998 and 2012), where his team won the IHSA state finals sportsmanship banner and the Cornbelt Conference Championship. Aldridge’s Eureka teams have accumulated over 320 dual team victories under his direction.

Aldridge is a Lexington High School graduate, where he was a multiple sport athlete. He attended Eureka College where he played football and golf for the Red Devils. He was also a member of the National Guard during his college years.
