Larry Milazzo's wrestling career began at Roxana High School where he was All Conference, 2nd in the Sectional and a State Qualifier. He continued his wrestling career at SIU-Edwardsville where he wrestled for Hall of Famer Larry Kristoff.

He has coached wrestling for 24 years at Roxana where his teams won 328 Duals; 17 consecutive Conference Championships in the Mississippi Valley Conference; 2 Regional Titles and 2 Sectional Titles.  In 1984 Roxana became 1 of the Elite 8 in the inaugural year of the Team Duals. All together Larry has had 35 State Qualifiers; 6 Place Winners and 1 State Champion.

Larry has also shared his coaching experiences with a youth wrestling program in Roxana.
