Jack Wiesneth is a 1970 graduate of St. Catherine High School in Racine, Wisconsin where he was a 4 year wrestler at St. Cats. He was a JV/ Varsity wrestler as a sophomore. In his junior year Jack had a strong finish and placed second at the conference and WIHSAA State tournament. His senior year he finished as conference and Wisconsin State Champion with a perfect 29-0 record. He was named Honorable Mention to the 1970 USA Wrestling All American team. He also played football and was a high hurdler on the track team. Jack went to Northwestern University and continued his wrestling career for 2 more years.
Jack coached several sports at the youth level with his 3 children. He started officiating wrestling in 1991 and added baseball in 1992. He received his first regional in 1994 and has worked 21 regionals since that time. He has worked 13 individual sectionals and 7 dual team sectionals. In 2005 he was appointed to officiate the IHSA Dual Team State Finals and in 2006 he was appointed his first IHSA Individual State Finals. He has worked 6 Individual and 4 Dual team State Tournaments. In addition Jack has worked 17 IWF and IKWF state tournaments and 8 USA Wrestling national folkstyle championships. This year he was named the IHSA Official of the year for wrestling.
Jack currently serves as the Plant Mgr. for C.P. Moyen Co. He has been married to his wife Linda for 41 years. He is the proud grandpa to their 7 grandchildren.
