Mike Gluck attended Palatine Township High School where he wrestled for IWCOA Hall of Fame Coach John Ellis, and compiled a 108 and 15 record in 4 years as a varsity wrestler. His junior year he completed a perfect 33-0 season winning the 103 lb. IHSA State Title, and followed it up with a 32-1 record his senior year placing 2nd at 120 lbs. After graduating 5th in a class of 560, and being voted Most Likely to Succeed, Mike chose to continue his wrestling career at The University of Wisconsin.
Wrestling for Coach George Martin, Mike was a Midlands Open Tournament Champion as a freshman, and he was a two time Big Ten Tournament finalist, winning the 147 lb. Title in 1968. In the 1967 NCAA National Tournament, he upset the defending champion in the first round and went on to finish 2nd at 147 lbs. Mike’s collegiate career record was 54-4, over 3 years, as freshmen were not eligible to compete at that time. Mike was the President of the Lettermen’s Club, a member of The Phi Kappa Honor Society as well as The Iron Cross Senior Men’s Honorary Society, and he was voted The University of Wisconsin’s Outstanding Scholar Athlete in 1968.
Currently Mike resides in Greenwood Village Colorado, and serves as the Chief Technology Officer for Sanity Solution.
