Pat Quirk wrestled for Hinsdale Central High School. He wrestled for head coach Bill Huskisson. Pat was the IHSA state finals runner-up in 1995 at 160 pounds and again in 1996 at 171 pounds. Pat also earned Junior Freestyle All-American honors in both 1995 and 1996.
Pat went on to wrestle at the University of Illinois for IWCOA Hall of Fame coach Mark Johnson and current head coach Jim Heffernan. His career at Illinois included a Big Ten Championship and a trip to the NCAA Championship match in 2001. Pat has 107 career wins for the Fighting Illini. He was a 4 time NCAA Qualifier at 197 pounds and he was a two-time NCAA All-American.
Pat Quirk Graduated from the U of I in 2001 with a degree in Speech Communications. Since his graduation, he has remained involved with the sport of wrestling as a coach. He returned to the Red Devils of Hinsdale Central as a coach from 2003 thru 2016 and he is now coaching at Chicago Marist.
Pat works at BlueStone Advisors where he is a commercial insurance broker. He and wife Meredith reside in Clarendon Hills. They have three children, Paige 9, Jack 7, and Colin 3.
